Stop Homeless Crime Initiative
My Stop Homeless Crime Initiative was voted on at the April 15, 2025 meeting and FAILED by a vote of 3-2.
I will be bringing it up for another vote hopefully soon when there is support.
If passed, this initiative would:
1. Put public safety officers on the street to stop homeless camps
2. Place officers in parks and public areas where our children play to prevent homeless crime
3. Assist Code Enforcement in removing homeless camps
4. Patrol high crime areas to report and protect against homeless crime
5. Stop illegal homeless camping
