25 years of politics, business, and media

Ian Bayne is a resident of Pahrump and a former candidate for Nye County Clerk in the 2022 Republican primary, receiving 40% of the vote.

Ian has been a manager and small business owner his entire adult life while simultaneously maintaining an active role in Republican politics.
At the age of twenty-five, Ian built a 950-member political action committee as the founding chairman of a Republican PAC that was chartered by the Massachusetts Republican Party to directly assist candidates as well as promote party positions in the media.

Ian also served directly with campaigns, such as being appointed to the Romney for Governor 2002 campaign and working as communications director for Robinson for U.S. Senate in 2000.
As a morning radio political talk show host in Illinois, Ian led his market in ratings, beating Levin, Hannity, Beck, and Limbaugh in key demographics. A 2016 personal endorsement of Senator Ted Cruz led to Cruz defeating Trump during a fierce battle for Illinois’ Republican stronghold of Bloomington, Illinois, with both Trump and Cruz personally visiting.
A passionate defender of the constitution and for freedom, Ian led movements like a 2001 bipartisan effort to stop a law that would allow for primary enforcement of seat belts in Massachusetts, a 2004 special election to stop a trash tax in Natick Massachusetts, and forming No Mask Nevada PAC in 2020 to protest the mandatory mask mandate.

Ian is a Christian and relies on the Bible and Constitution whenever the laws of God or man are at issue. He has been married to Carolyn, a dental hygienist in Pahrump, since 2011. They live with their highlander lynx cat in the winery area.

Small Business Owner
Ian has managed and owned several small businesses, including real estate appraisal businesses and a private detective agency.
